Mark Buxton
Born in England, he grew up near Hamburg and fell in love with Paris over 20 years ago. Mark Buxton is, above all, a hedonist, wine connoisseur and talented chef with a passion for antiques, particularly in the Art Deco style.
Mark has over 25 years of experience in creating perfume - working with leading international fragrance houses. He designed fragrances for major luxury brands such as Givenchy, Versace, Van Cleef & Arpels, Paco Rabanne, Lagerfeld, Burberrys, Cariert, Chopard, Ferré. He also created the parum “L'air de Panache” for Wes Anderson's film “The Grand Budapest Hotel”.

David Chieze
David was born and raised in France and has always been interested in perfume. He has a background as a chemist as well as a perfumer.
He started working at L'Artisan Parfumeur as a perfume consultant. It was then very quickly discovered by Bertrand Duchafour, a world-famous French perfumer.
After a year of practicing with his master, he met David Mark Buxton. Both agreed in their vision of perfumery. David joined Mark and a great story began.

When we started the Brooklyn Soap Company in 2012, natural care was still largely living in health food shops. A little eco. A bit "yay". More like something our mums bought. But times have changed. Awareness of natural care has become younger, more urban and yes - more masculine.
